Job title: Software Systems Engineer

We are seeking a Software Systems Engineer to join the Technology Group department. The Software Systems Engineer will help to design, implement, test and troubleshoot system environments of custom Wolfram products based on customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Designing and implementing CI/CD processes for Wolfram products

• Creatively and safely integrating custom Wolfram products into Wolfram Technical Consulting (WTC) customers' software system environments

• Testing and improving software systems during development and following delivery

• Developing and implementing security standards for WTC customers and software systems

• Supervising and training IT Support Engineers in system setup and maintenance

• Packaging software in containers

• Setting up and maintaining databases

Qualifications

• Proficiency in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Programming experience in one low-level programming language, such as C, C++ or Rust

• Programming experience in one high-level programming language, such as Wolfram Language, Python or Java

• Linux system administration experience

• Experience with Git or other version control systems

• Experience configuring a cloud computing infrastructure on AWS or Azure

• Excellent problem-solving skills

• Open minded to explore new fields

• Desire and drive to learn and self-educate

• Self-motivated and self-disciplined

• Ability to articulate ideas and instructions

Preferred qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical or scientific field

• Advanced Linux system administration skills

• 3+ years of experience in systems engineering

• Strong understanding of software engineering principles

• Experience with Docker/Nix

• Experience with Kubernetes

• Wolfram Language programming experience

Location: Bhubaneswar

Job type: Full time (40 hours per week)/Independent Contractor
